FEMA: Friend, Foe, or Tyrannical Tool! Part 3, The End?

The end move in politics is always to pick up a gun.
R. Buckminster Fuller

In the first two parts of this article I laid down the facts of the origin and current status of FEMA and the use of the military in this country.

I know that conspiracy theories abound about FEMA camps just as they do about the UN black helicopters. If anyone could show proof then we all could take a look and believe. I don’t. It is NOT my objective here to spread or further any of this.

My goal is to take the facts and present come current events and ask a few questions.

Here are some proposals and observations by and of the current administration, and the senate and congress.

1. Treasury Secretary Gietner wants to have the power to take over and manage financial, non-financial, and other business, basically unlimited control of business. When asked about the constitutionality of it, he just stuttered.

2. Bail-outs have been given to several companies and more are standing in line. However, the strings attached give the government control over the basic functioning of said companies.

3. The AIG salaries grab by congress is not only unconstitutional on the grounds of passing an ex post facto legislation but also of negating centuries of contract law. This is extremely disturbing due to the fact that Geitner and many congressmen and senators not only knew of the bonuses, but were implicitly aware of their origins and the timing. These salaries and bonuses were to the people that worked on saving the companies not the individuals that caused the collapse. Furthermore, it is going to be stretched to apply to anyone in the country making wages based on a bonus.

4. The above legislation was passed using and encouraging mob rule in congress and on the streets.

5. The Unions, who are in league with this current government, want to help with control by forced unionism and the elimination of the secret ballot with the “Card Check” legislation.

6. Contract law is being thrown out in the mortgage market as the government negates contracts forcing financial institutions to take reduced terms and even principal in mortgages that should not have been written in the first place. But they are contracts and they were signed by both parties and should remain enforceable.

7. Last week the congress proposed HB 875, The Food Safety Modernization Act, under the guise of its title it is in fact a ploy to eliminate the small farmer and grower and give total control to industrialized corporate farms (also large donors). Some even think it might apply to home gardeners.

8. The House also proposed an increase in the Americorps from its current 250,000 “employees” to 750,000. That is bad enough on the expense side, but tucked inside of that legislation was a proposal for the formation of a program of compulsory community service for young people, complete with camps, supervisors, indoctrination, and uniforms. After an uproar by some in congress it was dropped. However, when the compromise committee meets to combine the senate and house bills, many think it will be slipped back in. Lenin and Mussolini would be so proud.

9. One last proposal which should send shivers down your spine. During the campaign President Obama made this statement: Watch This Video! What is the reason for a national police force under the control of the president, if not a power grab?

The common thread running through all of the above is the centralization of power and control involved, the unconstitutionality of the whole program, and the financial, freedom, and liberty costs that are so apparent.

One of the problems is that the unions, trial lawyers, and many of the largest corporations are liberal democrats and donors to this government, and as usual pay-backs for taking the money are hell.

Considering everything I’ve presented in theses three articles, I ask the following questions:

Has the time of change in government I expected for the passed thirty years finally arrived?

What did Michele Obama mean when she said “that things will never be the same after her husband’s presidency”?

Will contracts continue to be binding agreements?

Why is the current administration so hell bent on joining a “world currency” and a “world government” and caring about and giving in to world opinion?

Instead of talking about giving in to the demands and subordinating our sovereignty to the UN, why don’t we leave the UN, throw them out of the country, and sell that property in New York to cover some debt”?

Why would anyone want to diminish our role in world affairs, reduce the military and create such massive government control?

Will FEMA and it's intricate network and massive power, be utilized?

Think about it and come up with your own conclusions. I know what I think is going on.

The bottom line is to be prepared mentally, physically, and logistically. Educate yourself. Question everything. Involve your family, friends, and neighbors.

Remember above all else: Freedom, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are fundamental God-given rights, hard won and easily lost.

Vigilance,

The Hammer

FEMA: Friend, Foe, or Tyrannical Tool! Part 2

As you saw in my first article, FEMA is not what it appears to be. This can be said with most rules, regulations, and laws that come out of Washington (and most state capitals). Human greed and the quest for power are endless.

I first learned of this in the late seventies and called Maryland Senator Paul Sarbanes’ office for copies of all the pertinent Executive Orders. After a few weeks they provided everything. It didn’t take long to see what was behind all of this preparedness.

I don’t know if the Presidents involved completely understood the implications. I doubt it or they may never have signed off on them. Some staffers probably worked on it and they just signed it thinking they were doing the right thing. Maybe no one did it intentionally. That we will never know.

However, the point of fact is, it is a dangerous and tyrannically system if used by the wrong person(s).

This and other bits and pieces of knowledge that I accumulated over the years led me to believe there would be a time when we had the chance of a drastic change in our government, and FEMA might just led the way. I figured it might be in the nineties but it didn’t happen.

Ronald Reagan was too much of a patriot and had little time or energy for a power grab. George Bush I, though a liar and fairly incompetent, was the same. Bill Clinton was just a social guy looking for a good time, a name in history, and the percs of office. No matter what you think of him, George Bush II was a patriot without the ambition of power.

When Alexander Haig was a well known name, I had my fears he would be the one. He tried to take over the government when Reagan was shot, though he had no legal right to do so. It was rumored that the explosion in his NATO caravan was just a ploy to get his name in the news. Who knows? Regardless, thankfully he faded into to history and never became a serious candidate for President.

In addition to the Orders I listed and the rulings of the Supreme Court, something extremely disturbing happened in 2007. That was the basic repeal of the Posse Comitatus Act.

“The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385) passed on June 16, 1878 after the end of Reconstruction, with the intention (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) of substantially limiting the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement. The Act prohibits most members of the federal uniformed services (today the Army, Air Force, and State National Guard forces when such are called into federal service) from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain "law and order" on non-federal property (states and their counties and municipal divisions) within the United States.

The statute generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Coast Guard is exempt from the Act.” (Wikipedia)

Public Law 109-364, the "John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007" (H.R.5122) basically overrides Posse Comitatus and allows use of the military inside the borders of the U.S. One section has a very dire and foreboding change. “(It) specifies situations in which the President can invoke martial law (natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident or other condition in which the President determines that domestic violence has occurred to the extent that state officials cannot maintain public order). These had not been specified before.” (BORDC) You can read all of the highlights at Bill of Rights Defense Committee's Report.

With the ability to declare martial law combined with the FEMA Orders, we have the absolute possibility of an unstable and uncertain future with the right person at the helm.

Next Time in Part III, I will discuss what is happening now.

As always, be prepared,

The Hammer

FEMA: Friend, Foe, or Tyrannical Tool! Part 1

It would seem natural that all governments would want to protect their people in times of disaster, both natural and man-made (though not all do). Contingencies may be set up for such events. The United States is no exception. But as with all good intentions the pathway to oblivion is only a short change of course.

Very few citizens had ever heard of FEMA before hurricanes Andrew & Katrina, most have no idea of its origin, abilities, and true purpose. I will set a lot of it out for you in these articles, but you must follow the links and read the official government documents for yourself.

This is not to add to your fear but to your preparedness. As with most things governmental, citizen vigilance is absolutely necessary.

For clarification: An executive order is a proclamation by the President of the United States without the input or action of the congress or senate. It is the law.

It all started simply enough in 1962 with Executive Order EO 10990 ostensibly to re-establish the National Safety Council: true purpose, to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaport in case of an emergency.

That was followed by these:

EO 10995: allows the government to seize and control the communication media.

EO 10997: allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.

EO 10998: allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.

EO 11000: allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.

EO 11001: allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.

EO 11002: designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.

EO 11003: allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.

EO 11004: allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

EO 11005: allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.

EO 11051: specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.

EO 11310: grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.

That is quite a list compiled by too many sources to credit here, so I have set up links directly to US government data bases for you to read them first hand.

EO 11049: assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies. All together EO 11049 organized and codified 21 Executive Orders, including those above, and 2 Defense Mobilization Orders: VI-2, 1-12. These EOs & DMOs began to accumulate in 1951. This order made them one law.

EO 11049 stated that this was for use in a national emergency, but never defined what that was. At that time everyone thought that it was about nuclear war, but we have seen that FEMA gets involved in much more than that.

EO 11921: allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation.

EO 11921: simply tightened the grips on the nation, if ever used fully.

To date, U.S. courts have overturned only two executive orders: the Truman order (integrating the armed services) and a 1996 order issued by President Clinton that attempted to prevent the US government from contracting with organizations that had strike-breakers on the payroll. Congress may overturn an executive order by passing legislation in conflict with it or by refusing to approve funding to enforce it. In the former, the president retains the power to veto such a decision; however, the Congress may override a veto with a two-thirds majority to end an executive order. It has been argued that a Congressional override of an executive order is a nearly impossible event due to the super-majority required and the fact that such a vote leaves individual lawmakers very vulnerable to political criticism. (From Wikipedia)

In theory, the President could issue executive orders such as placing decenting legislators under house arrest, or simply nullifying their votes through political pressure.

As you can see there is much more to FEMA than meets the eyes. I have made no conjectures or statements that you can not verify by reading the original documents.

Next time: What does all of this mean to you and me today?

Be vigilant,

The Hammer

We're in the Middle of a Nightmare, Wake Up!!

I had planned on writing a lot more than I have in recent weeks, but I just couldn’t decide on what topics to approach. Quite honestly the myriad of problems out there cry out for discussion and action; however, there is so much being written from both sides, it would be difficult to set out an original article.

I have never before in my lifetime seen such a mammoth division between the basic two ideologies that tend to operate our political system. In this article I am going to just list a few of the major topics and give a short opinion from my viewpoint which is Classic Conservative and a little Libertarian. Then in the future, I will choose a few people, organizations, and systems that most people either have no idea exist, how they function, or relate to our present situation. First, here are those opinions.

Fear-mongering: It is unimaginable to me that a Republican would participate in this activity; but, I believe it simply proves George Bush was a liberal. He set the bar extremely high in this endeavor; however, Pelosi, Reid, Rangles, Dodd, Frank, and many others including a couple ultra-liberal Republicans, and President Obama far exceeded this objective. I do not know in the history of the United States another time that such an outrageous outcry was made. If their objective was to scare the public into a depression, they succeeded. Shame on all of them!

Stimulus Package: As yet, there has not been one presented let alone passed. The Republican TARP boondoggle again set a standard that the current congress and President were bound and determined to surpass, and they have. Their “stimulus” package was simply a pulled pork sandwich of graft and favors our great grandchildren will be paying off.

Who’s To Blame?: This is the current game that the parties try to outplay each other; however, there is plenty of shame and blame to go around. After the “moderates” and liberals took over the congress & senate in 1998, we have been on the crash course. There have been some out-standing stars that should get notice and awards, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Arlen Spector, and the rest that gang, and all of the weak-kneed Republicans that just “went along”. They can blame it all on anyone they choose, but the faults are wide and deep. Especially notable are the Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac directives (Frank & Dodd) to lend to anyone whether they could handle a mortgage or not. This is one of the main causes of the bubble and collapse of housing. The two other was the greed of the finance companies that ran with the plan and the greed of the people who wanted housing for nothing, knowing they could never pay for it. To his credit Bush tried to end this in 2005 but was soundly defeated.

National Socialism (Fascism): Though the national media announces and promotes daily their support National Socialism as the 21st Century end-all be-all, it has been a miserable failure everywhere it was tried, especially in Europe. Pelosi, Reid, Waters, et al are not satisfied with that, they was National Fascism, the concept of private ownership and government control. Thankfully some of the banks are realizing their future and have said they will return the government money with all of the strings attached. Stand-by on that one, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Bail-outs: NO, NO, NO, NO! There is no company out there that is so damn important that we should bail them out. That is an impossible task anyway. Let them go bankrupt, and someone will buy them and run them efficiently, or they will return from a chapter 11 with new vigor, new contracts and a new future, or they will simply disappear. The stockholders need to take charge or lose. Read my article Disastrous Government Decisions: Corporations. It covers why corporations should not exist in the first place.

Regulations: Since 1998 both parties have increased the amount of regulations concerning every aspect of our lives, but none as devastating as in the financial markets, “marked-to-market” and the notorious “CAFE standards” for the auto industry. These regulations have worked to destroy everything they touch. The forced production and use of ethanol not only distorted the grain market but caused the hunger and starvation of millions world-wide. How can these politicians and greenie do-gooders sleep at night?

1st Amendment: According to David Axelrod, the Administration (and I’m sure all of the Liberals in the congress and senate) want to control the content of all media, television & especially radio (those damn conservative talk show hosts!), and the internet. Therefore, you had better get your opinions on here while you can.

2nd Amendment: The Libs declared war on this amendment years ago, and are now planning every attack from every angle they can, even though the Supreme Court ruled decisively on it last year. This amendment has nothing to do with collectors and sportsmen, it is one of our most important lines of defense against a tyrannical government, our own government; hence, Americans are arming themselves in record numbers for the coming conflicts.

All of the above demonstrate the violation of one enormous principal, constitutional law. Absolutely none of what is discussed above has anything to do with the Federal Government though it is right in the middle of the fray. Their only directive is to protect us from enemies foreign and some domestic.

As always, be informed and be prepared,

The Hammer
